Buying
To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions. Online payment is accepted via MasterCard, Visa, Delta and Switch. Payment is deducted when we process your order. Payment can also be made by phone, fax or post. We accept cheques or bankers drafts however an additional 7 days is allowed for clearance.
Description of Goods
All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are an approximate description of the goods. All specifications given to the Customer are approximations and intended as a guide only. Taps Limited does not accept responsibility for any preparation work based upon such specifications.
Delivery of Goods
All standard orders carry a standard charge of £6.50 up to packages of 10kgs. We will advise of added carriage costs for items heavier than this.
Delivery time is one working day Monday to Friday inclusive for all orders received before 3pm on the previous day.
Some post codes in the following areas will incur an additional charge which will be advised prior to acceptance and delivery of your order: Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles, Grampian and Highlands Scotland and Scottish Isles.
Orders for Northern Ireland, Eire, Isle of Man and Channel Islands will be charged accordingly to weight and size of each order.
For goods ordered over the weekend or on a bank holiday the order date is taken as the following working day for delivery purposes. If a delivery would normally fall due over the Christmas shut down period the delivery period may be extended to a later date.
Delivery charges quoted are for the UK only and although we endeavour to deliver the next working day, due to circumstances out of our control we cannot guarantee this.
Prices
We reserve the right to make adjustments to the prices taking into account any increases in our supplier’s prices or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed.
Damaged / Missing Goods
If goods arrive damaged or missing please inspect goods thoroughly before signing if it is not possible sign the proof of delivery note as "unchecked". You must inform us in writing, via email or fax within 72 hours of delivery if any goods are damaged or missing. We cannot accept liability for damaged goods if you do not inform us within the 72 hours.
Cancellations / Returns
We will accept cancellation of your order within 7 working days from date of delivery. You must give written notification of cancellation (by post, by fax or email) giving details of goods ordered and their delivery. If you exercise your right to cancel after the goods have been delivered you will be responsible for returning them at your own cost. You must take reasonable care to make sure the goods are not damaged in the mean time or in transit. In order to obtain a full refund goods must be in new condition; if there is any damage, the item has been used or there are any components missing we reserve the right not to accept the cancellation.
Risk
As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver to the address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature unless authorised by the person named on the order. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk.
Other
Ownership of the goods will be yours once we have received payment in full. We do not accept any liability against any installation of the supply only products or in the case of late delivery any plumber’s costs or compensation. Failure by us to enforce any of these terms and conditions will not affect our right to enforce the rest of these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time without prior notice to you.
Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. Information is collected as a result of contacting us, placing an order, or requesting registration. We store lists of email addresses which we use to send out information about our products and services. If you do not wish to receive such emails, we will remove them if you email us. There is no need to fill in the body of the email provided the subject is left as "unsubscribe".
The type of information we will collect about you includes your name, address and email address.
We will never collect sensitive information about you with out your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. The personal information will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first. We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.
